Interior Renovations

The Glandon House was originally built as a contemporary L-shaped ranch in the late 1970’s.  It was an awkward addition to a neighborhood of contemporary homes.  An ungainly 3 story addition from the mid ’80’s did not improve its form.

We designed several additions to improve the functionality of the living space and to soften and unify the exterior facades.  We expanded the kitchen, added a sunroom breakfast room, a master bedroom suite with bath closets and study, an apartment, and an elevator to serve the 3 story wing.  We added extensive built-in custom cabinetry to many of the rooms.  We added trim details to the rather stark interior, and we removed a large, concrete block and stucco fireplace to connect the living and dining rooms.

We re-roofed and renovated the indoor pool room and improved its connection to the house and the courtyard garden with new doors.
