The Lawson House was designed and built as a casual, contemporary home for a family.  It was designed for solar orientation and to fit comfortably into its large, wooded site.  The exterior materials were chosen for ease of maintenance and to blend  with the wooded setting.  The operable windows and screened porch encourage the opening of the house to the outdoors in temperate weather.


Interior details shown below include a fireplace with slate and wood surround, a window seat with a slate surface and an interior colonnade.
